Welcome to the place of real people!

Yes, I want Fit Life

Testamentvr

“As iron sharpens iron, so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend.”

  • Proverbs 27:17 NKJV

“Like minds think alike” … This truth cuts across every sphere of human interaction, and this includes spiritual associations as well.

For every great thing man has done, there is always a group of like-minded people who worked together to achieve it. There are people who work behind the scenes and those who are in the spotlights, but ultimately, they have to think in the same direction in order to see progress.

Spiritually, the case isn’t different. Just as the verse in the book of Proverbs above says, “Iron sharpens iron”.

This is the same thought that inspires the words of Paul the apostle in 1 Corinthians 15:33 when he says, “Evil communications corrupt good manners.”

Associations can make or mar us; therefore, we must wisely choose our company.

As believers, the gathering and fellowship with other believers is a spiritual strategy for progress. The bible teaches us to make this a part of our system for living.

Paul says:

“Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.”

  • Hebrews 10:25 NKJV

You see one of the strategies God has made available for we believers is the strength we find in fellowship with the brethren.

We are advised by the apostle to develop the character of meeting with other believers, why? For “exhorting one another”. Exhortation means to encourage and build each other, and he says as we see the Day approaching.

Nowadays, we have grown so many strategies that are all in line with this very principle, and one of them is the ‘group fellowship’ idea.

It is a very important strategy. The assembling of ourselves together does not end at the Sunday service gathering. There are many other places and times that God wants us to be in order to learn somethings that will be vital to our lives.

There is a covering that the people we fellowship with can give us. Not all of us are at the same level of word knowledge, or praying capacity or even any other kingdom activity, but there is a grace that the coming together releases upon everyone.

Where we are weak and feeble, there will be someone or people who are stronger than us in those areas.

The kingdom of God is characterized by growth, so we are expected to continue to be sharpened by like minds who can draw us up the ladder.

The text in Hebrews 10:25, where we just read says, “But exhorting one another”, this means to encourage and strengthen one another. The help that we desire from God comes through the brethren.

The bible says that the gifts of the Spirit have been given for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, and for the edifying of the body of Christ [Ephesians 4:11-12]. Whatever we need in God comes through men that have been granted access before us.

So, we have a sure means of getting edified in the body of Christ.

We have home groups where people meet and share encouragement and build one another. They pray and study the word together just as the apostles did in the early church.

But our meeting together is not bound to only physical contact. We have online groups where people meet on social media networks and even blogs like this.

Though this is going to be a virtual meeting place, it is just as effective as the physical presence we give. The presence of God can veto any medium and his power can still be seen at work no matter what medium he chooses to use.

Paul said, “For I indeed, as absent in the body but present in the spirit” [1 Corinthians 5:3]. While it is very great that we observe our physical meetings, me must also be wisely discerning the times.

Nowadays, a lot is done online, and though we are not present in many parts of the world, our spirits can be.

When we fellowship here, we are fellowshipping in the spirit, and the bible says we must worship God in spirit and truth.

So, it does not matter where you are, join us on this platform as me meet to strengthen the feeble and continue to learn the things that God would have us learn.

We must gather together at every opportunity that we get. God is not limited by time and location, he is everywhere at the same time, that is why we say he is omnipresent.

So, make this a place you call home; where you will meet people who are eager to grow in the spirit, and those who will help you on your journey to knowing God, and be a part of the move of God in this generation.
